James Lewis is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Strategic Development Director and a Senior Investment Advisor for Capital Investment Advisors (CIA). He is also a member of CIA’s Investment Committee and serves as the company’s go-to resource for many of Capital’s clients and users of the Social Security Optimizer helping families and individuals maximize their lifetime, spousal, and survivor benefits. James is also a contributor to “MONEY MATTERS” hosted by Wes Moss – Atlanta’s longest running live call-in investment and personal finance radio show – on 95.5FM and AM 750 WSB.
As a CFP®, James meticulously guides his clients through the multiple steps of the financial planning process to create detailed retirement plans tailored toward their specific needs for investment income, tax planning, insurance, and estate planning. His accomplished educational background includes a BS in Civil Engineering from LSU, an MBA in Finance from GSU’s Robinson College of Business and completion of the Financial Planning Executive Certification Program from UGA’s Terry College of Business.
James has three sons and one daughter. He enjoys traveling, CrossFit, and proudly supporting his LSU Tigers from the heart of the Bulldog Nation. James supports the Cathedral of Christ the King, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Jennie Lewis Life and Legacy Award which provides scholarships to Carter Center interns seeking future careers in international development and diplomacy.
