Originally from Rhode Island, Emily graduated with a BBA in Accounting and a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Miami. After completing her studies, Emily worked in Miami for several years before relocating to Atlanta in 2019 and currently resides in Midtown. Prior to joining Capital Investment Advisors (CIA), Emily worked as a tax professional at several Big Four public accounting firms including PwC and EY as well as several years with the tax department at Norfolk Southern Railway, a Fortune 500 company. Emily brings almost a decade of experience in the tax industry and years of client relationship management from her tax background to her role at CIA.
In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her two English cocker spaniels, Ellie and Lady, and her partner, Dalton. She is an enthusiastic plant collector with over 40 varieties of houseplants at home. Emily stays active through HIIT workout classes and outdoor activities, whether it’s walking to Piedmont Park, exploring the beltline, or going on hikes. She is also a passionate foodie who loves discovering different restaurants around metro Atlanta, with Casi Cielo, an Oaxacan Mexican restaurant near the office, being a current favorite.
