Robert Sanders is the Chief Investment Officer for Capital Investment Advisors (CIA) in Atlanta. His role is to lead CIA’s Investment Committee, which is where the firm’s asset allocation decisions are made. Robert oversees the firm’s research methodology by utilizing a top-down macro approach to identify global themes coupled with much more nuanced bottom-up security analysis for targeted investments. Additionally, Robert is tasked with conducting thorough ETF review to determine the most suitable and cost-effective way to implement CIA’s research conclusions via the ever-growing ETF world. Prior to joining CIA in 2015, he spent over a decade with RBC Capital Markets and Prudential Securities as a research analyst with a primary focus on the consumer space.
Robert graduated from Sewanee: The University of the South with a BA in Economics. When not working, Robert enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and two daughters. He also enjoys playing golf, reading and walking the family’s two Great Danes.
