Matt Kress

Matt Kress is the Director of Marketing and Growth for Capital Investment Advisors (CIA). In this role, he leads the firm's growth, brand, and marketing initiatives, and is building a modern marketing team that puts data and new technology to work for the families CIA serves.

"CIA has spent decades helping thousands of families find happiness in retirement," Matt says. "I joined to help more families get there, and to help build a firm that keeps serving families for generations."

Before CIA, Matt co-founded and sold a relationship-management software company, was an early team member at a startup that was later acquired, and helped build a business development training firm. He has coached hundreds of financial advisors and business owners and has spoken to advisor audiences about growing their practices by putting client families first.

A Marietta native, Matt studied Business with a Math minor at Kennesaw State, and has lived in Atlanta, Miami, Uruguay, and Thailand. He has competed around the world in ultimate frisbee, professional paintball, and obstacle course racing. He lives in Tucker with his wife, Alissa, their children, Silas and Camille, and their dog, Gus. You can usually find them on a run, at their kids' games, or cheering on Atlanta United. Matt's long-term goal is to become a great-grandpa who lives to 150.
