David Doverspike serves as the Family Office Wealth Strategist for Capital Investment Advisors (CIA). He provides high-touch family office services to individuals and families through a principle-driven approach that helps them identify and achieve their generational, lifestyle, investment, tax, and charitable goals.

Prior to joining CIA in 2026, David served as Vice President of Finance and Operations for the Georgia Center for Opportunity, an Atlanta-based nonprofit. Before that, he spent more than nine years at Blue Trust, serving on its multi-family office and estate/philanthropic teams, where he advised families to help them achieve their financial, estate, trust, tax, investment, and philanthropic goals.

David earned his J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law, as well as bachelor’s degrees in Risk Management and Insurance and Sport Management from the University of Georgia.

Outside of work, he enjoys playing tennis and pickleball, mentoring, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and pursuing growth in all aspects of life. David is married to his, wife, Kayla, and they are actively involved in their local church, Lebanon Baptist Church.
