About
With over two decades of experience in the financial services industry, Robert currently serves as President, Partner, and Chief Financial Officer of Capital Investment Advisors (CIA). Robert leads a dynamic team of 100 professionals across five offices in Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, Denver, and Tampa.
Joining CIA in 2015 as a research analyst, he’s worn many hats—Partner, Chief Investment Officer, and Chief Financial Officer—while steering the firm through a period of extraordinary growth. His primary focus remains upholding our family-centered culture and core values as we seek to deliver tailored financial solutions for every family.
Previously, he spent more than 10 years as a research analyst at RBC Capital Markets and Prudential Securities, specializing in the consumer sector. Originally from Columbus, Mississippi, Robert holds a BA in Economics from Sewanee: The University of the South. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, two daughters, Great Dane, and cute cat. He also enjoys fishing, running, and reading.
