Rafael Rondino, CFP® is a Senior Investment Associate and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional for Capital Investment Advisors (CIA). He specializes in helping individuals and families create thoughtful, income-focused retirement strategies tailored to their long-term goals. With a strong foundation in retirement income planning and portfolio management, Rafael blends financial expertise with a personal touch, helping clients plan confidently for a secure and happy retirement.

Prior to joining CIA, he gained institutional experience in equity research at UBS Wealth Management and developed extensive expertise in options trading. These experiences give him a unique perspective on portfolio construction, income generation, and risk management.

Rafael began his career in finance following a successful tennis career. He was ranked #1 in Brazil in the U18 category before earning a student-athlete scholarship at Auburn University and later transferred to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where he served as team captain of the men’s tennis team. He graduated with a double BS in Finance and Economics from UAB’s Collat School of Business and also completed his MBA while working as an assistant coach for the team.

Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Rafael moved to the United States in 2011 and to Atlanta in 2020, where he now resides. Outside of work, he continues to share his passion for tennis by coaching and mentoring local youth players.
