Michael Reiner is the Founder and Chairman of the Board for Capital Investment Advisors (CIA). He is passionate about helping his clients Sleep Well At Night (SWAN) and work toward their financial goals and objectives.

Reiner graduated from the University of Georgia in 1974 with a BBA degree in Finance, with special areas of study including portfolio management and investment banking. Michael worked as Vice President of an asset-based lending group for a financial services firm for 13 years. After leaving the bank, he co-founded Capital Investment Advisors and Capital Administration.

Michael’s roles within CIA include governing the long-term strategy of the company as well as managing his client’s investments. His client base is focused on small business owners, retirees and corporate executives. He offers his clients many years of experience in the financial services industry.

In his free time, Michael enjoys golf, tennis and fishing along with spending time with his grandchildren and wife of more than 40 years, Shelly. He is the father of two boys, Mitchell and Matthew, who both work at CIA.
