Q: ETFs and indexed funds are less costly than managed funds; are the actively managed funds worth the extra cost in general?
A: “In General” as you stated, we do not believe so. However, every investor and situation is completely independent and different. If an investor does not manage their allocations or investments with minimal regularity, they may need the benefit of a managed mutual funds. We believe, however, that owning a compilation of low-cost index funds in a similar allocation to managed mutual funds, the index funds will out perform net of fees over a 3+ year period.
