Q&A with Anna Romaniszyn
How long have you been with Capital Investment Advisors?
4 years this September (2022)
What did you do before joining?
I had recently graduated college from UNC-Greensboro.
What prompted you to pursue a career in financial services / wealth management?
I interned with an RIA firm in college.
During the interview process, how did you know Capital Investment Advisors was right for you?
The immediate feeling of the family culture. My family is in Florida so it’s nice to be somewhere every day where it feels like home.
Please provide a brief timeline of your role progression at the Firm.
I started as Jr. Ops Assistant, then progressed to Sr. Ops Assistant to then transitioning from the Operations team to the Business Development Team where I am now a Business Development Associate.
How were you made aware of internal mobility opportunities?
Asking questions and putting myself out there to management that I was interested in making a switch.
How was the transition from one team to another? Leadership support, training, etc.?
Pretty easy. I had been taking on a few small tasks from the Business Develop Team while still maintaining my role on operations. I was also able to train those in operations who were being promoted to my current job then. That way once everyone transitioned it was seamless.
What is your favorite thing about working at Capital Investment Advisors?
The people. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. You can walk into every office or workstation and know someone is more than willing to help you.
What do you think a prospective recruit might be interested in learning about Capital Investment Advisors?
There really are a ton of opportunities in the company along with great people to learn from & the work hard-play hard mentality is greatly encouraged!
