Mr. Moore, a south Georgia native, is an investment advisor with Capital Investment Advisors, Inc. Prior to joining CIA, Tom was a registered representative with a local financial planning firm from 1999 until 2002. Since 2002, Tom has refined his practice to dealing with business owners, executives, and retirees. He enjoys helping his clients make sound financial decisions, specializing in the areas of tax and investment planning.
Mr. Moore has an extensive educational career; he is a 1999 graduate of the University of Georgia with a BBA in Economics, a 2003 graduate from the financial planner program at Oglethorpe University and a 2006 graduate from Georgia State University receiving the degree of Master of Taxation. Tom also achieved the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, CFP® designation awarded by the Board of Standards, Inc.
Tom is frequently published in local trade publications. He was recently quoted in the Atlanta Business Chronicle and he has written articles for various trade publications, including the Georgia Petroleum Marketer, Georgia Propane Gas Association Marketer, and the Tennessee Oil Marketer.
Tom is married to his lovely wife, Jenny, and they have one son Griffin. When Tom is not working he enjoys playing golf, running and attending Peachtree Road United Methodist Church.
